Veterans' Retreat recognized by State Government

The Victorian Government has announced a significant award to Goorambat Veterans' Retreat (GVR) through its Veterans portfolio.

The $50,000 grant was awarded by the Victorian Veterans Council (VVC) Capital Works Program for the completion of a further 3 emergency / crisis accommodation cabins. This grant is a substantial boost for GVR, who were able to purchase the secondhand cabins in 2021 thanks to the hard work of supporters & the generosity of donors. This grant will shorten the wait-time and provide much needed and improved veteran support in 2022. These new funds will be promptly put to work fitting out, furnishing and commissioning this accommodation for Veterans.
